Alison While has been Professor of Community Nursing at the Florence Nightingale School of Nursing and Midwifery, King's College London since 1992. Having completed her nursing training at St Thomas' Hospital in 1975, Alison was a practising health visitor until joining King's College London in 1985. Extensively published in journals and books, Alison is involved with a number of major research projects with the Government and charities, and has specialist expertise in chronic disease care for people living at home.
Oisin has a degree in English from Goldsmiths College, University of London and has previously worked on the British Journal of Nursing and for the Royal College of Physicians.
